The Eiffel Tower is the most famous PArisian landmark. Gustave Eiffel designed the tower on the occasion of the world fair in Paris in 1889. The 329 m high steel construction weighs over 10,000 tons and thus remains stable even extremely high winds. Engraved around the first level are the names of 72 scientists, without whose expertise the Eiffel Tower could not have been built.
